A few years ago a user asked how to use VBA to determine the edition of the active session of Office. I’m not sure why this would be useful (perhaps to show as information on a userform?) but I duly obliged by writing the below code which I have now updated to handle Office 2013. As far as I know, there isn’t a native member in the Excel object model which will tell you the Office edition, so I derive it by using the application version and product code (GUID). If you know a better way then please let me know.
