FREQUENCY() Post Updated

I’ve updated an old post on counting distinct, unique and successive values using the FREQUENCY() function. I was participating on a thread over at Chandoo.org when an answer from Haseeb Avarakkan made me realise that my formula could be improved from:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(FREQUENCY(A1:A4,A1:A4)>0))

to:

=SUM(--(FREQUENCY(A1:A4,A1:A4)>0))

The SUM() formula doesn’t need to be array entered so it is a small improvement on the SUMPRODUCT() version. Okay, it’s only a small detail but I want my old post to be as good as possible so I went back and improved a few of the formulas using this theme.

Thanks Haseeb!
